What VecSnap draws, and what you can do with it.

Every picture below is a real file: VecSnap's, and beside it what it was made from or what a tracer makes of it. Zoom into the viewers, switch their view, and change the colors yourself.

  • Converting and previewing are free
  • One credit keeps the file, every format included

Anchor points

See every anchor point before you pay

Each point of the file is shown, the way Illustrator's outline view shows them. Set potrace beside it: the same image, traced pixel by pixel, with every one of its points.

At any zoom

Crisp at any zoom, drawn again at every step

The viewer draws the file again each time you zoom, so what you inspect is the curve itself. Up close, the same edge twice: a soft JPG's pixels, and VecSnap's shape.

Real shapes

Real circles and rings, every shape lit

A circle comes out as a circle and a ring as a ring. The Shapes view gives each shape its own color, chosen so touching shapes stay apart for color-blind eyes too, and you see how the file is built.

Text

Your words, set in their own font

When VecSnap recognizes a word, each letter is its font's own outline, and the word stays grouped and named in the file: a designer finds it by its name.

The rules

Pay once for each image, and keep it private

One credit keeps an image, with all it comes with. What you convert stays yours.

  • One credit, one image

Every format, every re-run and every color edit of that image is included.

  • Free to try

Converting and previewing cost nothing: you see the whole result, at any zoom, first.

  • Never made public

No one else sees what you convert, and VecSnap has no public gallery.

  • The same image, the same file

Convert an image twice and you get the same file both times.
